Robert Evans MEP requires a full-time Parliamentary Assistant to work in Brussels from September 2007. Please note the following essential criteria before applying:

- Sophisticated and proven understanding of the European Union, especially the Parliament either gained from University study or other personal study/experience.

- Excellent (complete fluency) command of written and spoken English.

- Excellent IT skills.

- Excellent research skills.

- Evidence of commitment to the Labour Party/Socialist Group and its values.

The following are not essential but would be advantageous:

- Proven interest of knowledge or interest in the areas of Robert Evans' work.

- Interest in/knowledge of South Asian affairs.
